Ep 205: ADAPTATION IN MUSICAL THEATRE with author ADAM RUSH

Legally Blonde, Fun Home, Wicked and more!

My guest today is author Adam Rush, whose latest book is titled Adaptation in Musical Theatre.

Adam is a Program Leader and Senior Lecturer in Musical Theatre at the University of Winchester in the UK. Listeners may remember him from his previous appearance on this podcast when he and co-author Millie Taylor joined me to discuss their book, Musical Theatre Histories: Expanding the Narrative. The book delves into a wide range of musicals, from Show Boat to Beetlejuice, with a main focus on three selected case studies: Legally Blonde, Fun Home, and Wicked.
